A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of tried homicide after confronting police with a knife in Westminster.
The suspect approached the 2 Ministry of Defence (MoD) law enforcement officials with the weapon on Horse Guards Parade, at round 8.50am.
The person must be tasered and was then restrained by officers. He was was arrested on suspicion of tried homicide and possession of an offensive weapon.
There have been no reviews of any accidents. He stays in custody at a central London police station, the drive stated.
Police confirmed that the incident isn’t being handled as terror-related.
The Met has launched an investigation into the incident and stated it would liaise carefully with the MoD Police because it progresses.
Various forensic officers have been noticed on the scene placing objects into plastic luggage as they sweep the realm for proof.
Various roads have been closed in Whitehall and a police cordon has been put in place between Trafalgar Sq. and Parliament Sq..
